The Digital Empower HER Challenge 

A nationwide inter-school creative challenge where teams of girls create and share short, powerful digital advocacy content (videos, digital art, music, or social media campaigns) that delivers a clear message against digital violence, cyberbullying, and online harassment.

In alignment with the United Nations' 16 Days of Activism theme, “UNiTE to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls”, this initiative encourages girls to use technology and creativity as tools to advocate for safe and positive digital spaces, while raising awareness about the impact of online violence and cyberbullying. ​

To Participate in the Challenge:

  1. Register your team online

  2. Choose a Creative Category and complete the category task

  3. Submit your challenge piece

  4. Encourage your friends and family members to vote during Public Voting

  5. Await WRAP TT voting

  6. Look out for Challenge Results on 10th December.

Challenge Timeline:

  • Registration Deadline - 20th November 2025

  • Entry Submission Deadline - 25th November 2025

  • Public Voting - 28th November to 2nd December 2025 (friends and family members are encouraged to vote).

  • Finalists Announced 4 December.

  • Finalists Featured at the WRAP TT “Walk For The Change”, Queen's Park Savannah - 6th December 2025 (students do not need to be present).

  • Winners announced to schools on 9th December 2025 and recognized at the WRAP TT EOV campaign video wrap-up released on Dec 10 (Human Rights Day).

Detailed Challenge Instructions

Step 1: Registration

  • Schools sign up online (Registration link on WRAP TT website.

  • Each school forms at least one team of 3-6 girls, guided by a teacher.

 

Step 2: Creation Challenge:

  • Teams choose ONE of four creative categories and complete the task described.​

  1. 🎥 Digital Voice: Create a 60-90 sec awareness video - Skit, spoken word, testimonial, PSA, animation, or other type of video.

  2. 🎨 Art for Change: Submit a digital poster or graphic - poster, infographic, digital painting, or other form of digital artwork. 

  3. 🎵 Sound of Strength: Produce a short original piece - song, jingle, spoken word, Anti-violence anthem, rap, or Public Service Announcement (PSA).

  4. 📱 #UniteOnline Campaign: Design a short social media post series (3-5 slides) - Carousel for Instagram/TikTok/YouTube raising awareness

  • All entries must be original and reflect the theme: “Ending Digital Violence Against Women and Girls.”

Step 3: Submission Process 

  • Clearly label each submission with School Name, Team Name, and Category.

  • Submissions close on November 25, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time (T&T time)

Step 4: Public Voting

  • Public Judging Criteria: creativity, relevance, clarity, impact.

  • Encourage your friends and family members to vote for your submission.

  • Public voting via WRAP TT’s website and social media pages.

  • The top 5 entries, finalists, will move on to the WRAP TT Judging phase. 

  • Finalists will be featured on WRAP TT’s website and during the Walk for the Change.

  • Presentation Quality 25%

Step 6: Awards & Recognition

  • 1st Place: Trophy, media feature, gifts, “Digital Empower HER Champion” badge for school, award certificates, recognized on WRAP TT’s website and social media pages, featured in a special campaign video wrap-up released on Dec 10 (Human Rights Day).

 

  • 2nd Place: Gifts, “Digital Empower HER Ambassador” badge for school, award certificates, recognized on WRAP TT’s website and social media pages, featured in a special campaign video wrap-up released on Dec 10 (Human Rights Day).

 

  • 3rd Place: Award certificates, recognized on WRAP TT’s website and social media pages, featured in a special campaign video wrap-up released on Dec 10 (Human Rights Day).
